Importing existing manuscripts

Bring work into Kenny Writer from TXT, Markdown (.md), or Microsoft Word (.docx) files. During import you can split long manuscripts into chapters or scenes and review the structure before applying.

Exporting and compiling

Export individual chapters or compile the full binder into Markdown, DOCX, EPUB, or PDF. Your text is never locked inside a proprietary cloud database.

On-disk project layout

Each project folder stores document envelopes on disk alongside a local SQLite index for fast full-text search, revision snapshots, and automatic crash recovery.
